Por mis años de experiencia, estoy absolutamente de acuerdo con Claude Bernard. Lamentablemente seguimos pensando al estilo Pasteur y se sigue enseñando así en la facultad de medicina. Lamentable. La gente (¡y los médicos!) piensan así: “fulanito estaba bien hasta que la bacteria o el virus lo atacó”, “fulanito estaba bien hasta que desarrolló un cáncer galopante”. Pues mira, va a ser que no. La ciencia del siglo XXI nos está desvelando una y otra vez la importancia de las barreras que nos defienden (piel, intestino, etc.) y su MICROBIOTA. Resulta que nuestros propios bichos nos defienden tanto o más que nuestro propio sistema inmunológico.
¿Sabías que CADA DIA en tu cuerpo se forma alguna célula cancerosa? ¿Que da “yuyú“? ¡Pero es verdad! Cada día se forma una, pero un sistema inmunológico en condiciones se encarga de limpiar rápidamente a las células anormales porque sí, el sistema inmunitario debe ser MUY SELECTIVO y DISCRIMINADOR: ¡la defectuosa, fuera! Por distintos motivos, incontables, este mecanismo falla y ahí es cuando aparece clínicamente un cáncer.
