Además presentamos la experiencia de aquellos que se han salido del sistema tradicional para buscar otras vías a la educación, desde el individuo.
Hace ya unos años Pilar Baselga daba una excelente conferencia sobre el sistema educativo es su forma más esencial más allá de lo que podemos percibir en la superficie.
Es aquí que mostramos un fragmente de 10 minutos editado con imágenes de la vida real y demostrando como esa planificación de más de 100 años se puso en marcha a través del sistema educativo que lejos esta de ser Laico y Gratuito.
Como bien dice el dicho… si algo es gratis entonces el producto eres vos y esta no es la excepción o peor aun… para muchos de nosotros el producto son nuestros hijos.
Por eso hay que conocer estos temas sin lugar a duda y sobre todo compartirlo para el mensaje se expanda.
La lista de Timsit se ha vuelto muy popular porque describe de manera concreta diez situaciones en las que seguramente todos y todas nos podríamos identificar. A continuación describiremos las estrategias de manipulación de la opinión pública y de la sociedad de Sylvain Timsit.
La distracción es un proceso cognitivo que consiste en prestar atención a algunos estímulos y no a otros de manera involuntaria y por distintas razones, entre las que se encuentra el interés que nos generan esos estímulos y la intensidad o el atractivo de estos.
Es un proceso que puede ser fácilmente utilizado como una estrategia para desviar la atención de los conflictos políticos o económicos. Generalmente se realiza por medio de fomentar la sobrecarga de información, o cuando dicha información contiene una fuerte carga emocional.
Por ejemplo cuando los noticieros dedican días enteros a reportar sucesos trágicos y minimizan los momentos destinados a reportar acontecimientos políticos problemáticos. Este tipo de distracción fomenta el desinterés por adquirir conocimientos profundos y por discutir las repercusiones a largo plazo de las decisiones políticas.
El autor explica este método por medio de la fórmula: problema-reacción-solución, y explica que una situación puede ser explicada con toda la intención de causar una reacción específica a un público específico, de manera que este público demande medidas y toma de decisiones que solucionen la situación.
Por ejemplo, cuando los poderes políticos se mantienen indiferentes ante el aumento de violencia en una ciudad, y después despliegan leyes policíacas que afectan la libertad y no sólo disminuyen la violencia. Lo mismo cuando una crisis económica se define como un mal necesario que solo puede ser contrarrestado por medio de recortes de los servicios públicos.
Se refiere a aplicar los cambios que son importantes de manera gradual, para que las reacciones públicas y políticas sean igualmente graduales y más fáciles de contener.
Sylvain Timsit pone como ejemplo las políticas socioeconómicas neoliberales que iniciaron en la década de los 80, y que han repercutido de manera paulatina sin que sus consecuencias negativas puedan abrir el camino a un revolución realmente masiva.
Muchas de las medidas que toman los gobiernos no son populares entre la población, con lo que una de las estrategias más utilizadas y eficaces es la de hacer pensar que esa medida es dolorosa pero necesaria, y que es necesario acordarla en el presente aunque sus efectos serán percibidos años después.
De esta manera nos acostumbramos al proceso de cambio e incluso a sus consecuencias negativas, y al no ser una cuestión que nos afecta de manera inmediata podemos asociarnos con más facilidad de los posibles riesgos.
Como ejemplo, Sylvain Timsit menciona el pasaje hacia el euro que se propuso en 1994-1995, pero se aplicó hasta el 2001, o los acuerdos internacionales que EUA impuso desde 2001 en Latinoamérica, pero que serían vigentes hacia el 2005.
Otra de las estrategias que se utilizan con mucha frecuencia es posicionar al público como un conjunto de personas ingenuas o incapaces de hacerse responsables de sí mismas, o de tomar decisiones críticas y responsables.
Al posicionar a los espectadores de esta manera, los medios de comunicación y los poderes políticos hacen más fácil que el público efectivamente se identifique con esa posición y termine por aceptar las medidas impuestas e incluso apoyarlas con convicción.
Se refiere a enviar mensajes que impacten directamente en el registro emocional y sensible del público, de manera que a través del miedo, la compasión, la esperanza, la ilusión, entre otras emociones o sensaciones, sea más sencillo implantar ideales de éxito, o normas de comportamiento y de cómo deben ser las relaciones interpersonales.
Esta estrategia se refleja por ejemplo en las significativas diferencias que hay entre la calidad de la educación y los recursos que se le destinan según la clase socioeconómica y política a la que se dirige.
Esto hace que el uso de las tecnologías se reserven para unos cuantos, lo que a su vez dificulta la organización social a gran escala. Así mismo, hace que unas poblaciones se reconozcan a sí mismas como simplemente víctimas, sin posibilidades de ser activas.
Se trata de reforzar el sentimiento de éxito y de satisfacción por la situación en la que nos encontramos, aunque sea una situación precaria o injusta, lo que hace que no desarrollemos un pensamiento crítico sobre esa situación o que incluso la justifiquemos.
En el otro extremo se encuentra el hacemos pensar que la situación en la que estamos es así por nuestra culpa, es decir, hacer que el individuo crea que es responsable de su propia desgracia (que piense que es poco inteligente o que se esfuerza poco; en lugar de reconocer que hay un sistema social que tiende a la injusticia).
Así se evita la organización y el para ejercicio de la resistencia o la revuelta; y las personas tendemos a autoevaluarnos y culpabilizarnos, lo que a su vez genera pasividad y favorece la aparición de otras complicaciones como estados depresivos o ansiosos.
Timsit propone que los avances que ha tenido la ciencia en la comprensión de los seres humanos, tanto en área de la psicología como la biología o la neurociencia, han logrado un mayor conocimiento sobre nuestro funcionamiento; no obstante, no han generado un proceso de autoconocimiento a nivel individual, con lo cual las élites continúan como las poseedoras de la sabiduría y del control de los demás.
